           Congregation:  And between the throne and the four living

                   creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing,

                   as though it had been slain.

        Leader & Choir:  And the living creatures and the twenty-four elders

               fell down before the Lamb.  And they sang a new song, saying …

All:  Worthy are You … for You were slain, and by Your blood

   You ransomed people for God from every tribe and language

   and people and nation.

     Leader & Choir:  Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the

       living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering

      myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice …

CONFESSING OUR SINS

   Christ’s Summary of the Law: Matthew 22:37-40

 Prayer of Confession                                           Dr. Larry Roff, Associate Pastor

Adapted from John Calvin's Geneva Liturgy of 1543:

Lord God, eternal and almighty Father: We acknowledge before Your holy majesty that we are poor sinners, conceived and born in guilt and in corruption, prone to do evil, unable of our own power to do good. Because of our sin, we endlessly violate Your holy commandments.

But, O Lord, with heartfelt sorrow we repent and turn away from all our offenses. We condemn ourselves and our evil ways, with true sorrow asking that Your grace will relieve our distress. Have compassion on us, most gracious God, Father of mercies, for the sake of Your son Jesus Christ our Lord.

And in removing our guilt, also grant us daily increase of the grace of Your Holy Spirit, and produce in us the fruits of holiness and of righteousness pleasing in Your sight.

                                                   Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

 Assurance of Pardon: 1 Timothy 1:15

 Song of Renewal: Change My Heart, O God                                                                          Eddie Espinosa

Change my heart, O God, make it ever true;

Change my heart, O God, may I be like You.

You are the Potter, I am the clay;

Mold me and make me, this is what I pray.

Change my heart, O God, make it ever true;

Change my heart, O God, may I be like You.
